It seems like it was just yesterday when the majority of surfboards were hand-shaped.  And while it’s still possible to get a hand-shaped board from your local backyard shaper, the majority of today’s top shapers utilize digital shaping systems.  The reason for this is that digital shaping systems provide improved accuracy, consistency, and flexibility.

At Paragon Surfboards, we have embraced the future of surfboard design through our digital shaping system. We use computer aided design (CAD) software that provides us the flexibility to alter a variety of factors (e.g. outline, dimensions, rocker, concave, fin placement, etc.).  Through this process we are able to replicate our board models, resulting in an ideal board each and every time.
