9'0" Retro Noserider - Orange/White

8 reviews

Modeled after the longboards of the 1960's, the Retro Noserider provides more stability and glide than your conventional longboard. By combining a wider-than-normal square tail with 50/50 rails, this board makes noseriding a breeze. Ideal for small conditions, pointbreaks, and lazy summer days. Get back to your roots!

Light and buoyant

I love that board. It is very light for a nine-footer and the wide front gives it plenty of floatation.

So much fun!

I got this board to get out more during the summer and so far it has been an absolute dream. I've been catching waves so early and gliding into the pocket so effortlessly that it makes me seriously consider just keeping this longboard as my only board. This thing has probably quintupled my wave count, but I only rode a shortboard before getting this board, so take that with a grain of salt. Regardless though, I'm sold on the longboard life. I love gliding on waves that I wouldn't even paddle for on my shortboard. It's pretty much a game changer for me. So far I've surfed it in less than 1 ft during high tide as well as powerful chest high days and it handles it all. The waves where I live are 1-4 feet most of the year so this board will be perfect for a majority of the days. Since it's so easy to paddle I'll probably be able to surf more often as well, so that's a plus. I also love the color. It makes it super easy for my friends and family to find me in the lineup. This board has pretty much been a dream come true.

Update as promised

We’ll, we finally got some decent waves from tropical storm Alex. It took about 10 waves before I found the sweet spot. The board rides great! I rode so many waves over the last four days my friends said “Your getting more waves than ever”. It paddles fast, takes off great, and turns very easily. Also, it goes down the line as fast as I want. I may buy another (a different color) to match my spare baggies.

Fantastic intermediate longboard

Just spent the entire winter with this board before writing a review and I love everything about it. It’s great for perfecting your cross step and equally good for just cruising long lines. There’s not a lot of rocker but I prefer it because the board is fast and really stable

9.0 Orange/White Nose Rider - WOW

I have been riding my current board for about thirteen years. I love it. It is starting to show its age. About six months ago I started the search for a new one. I saw a lot of nice boards. I found nothing that made me want to spend $800-$1000 plus. So I continued to ride my current board. Last month I was out surfing and saw a guy getting a lot of rides on a blue colored board. He was getting long good rides. So I paddled over to him because I liked the looks of his board and wanted to know more. He was riding a 9.0 Paragon foamy. Later, I was talking to him on the beach. I really liked his board and what he paid. When I got home I immediately checked the Paragon web site. I found his exact board and almost bought it. I continued shopping and found the Orange/White epoxy board. The measurements were exactly what I wanted and orange is my favorite color. Sadly, the board was out of stock. I emailed customer support. They emailed right back saying when I would be in stock. Every morning I checked to see if it was available. As soon as it was in, I ordered it. It took just eight days from the time I ordered it until a big truck showed up at my house. I was a little nervous ordering a board online. When I opened it, I was very happy. The color is perfect. No damage from shipping. The shape is exactly what I wanted. I am extremely satisfied and am thinking about ordering another of Paragons models. Now we just needs some surf. Come on hurricane season! I’ll update this review on how it rides soon. I anticipate I will be extremely pleased.
